A special thank you to Peter Salo for his permission to use his exceptional images.
While still maintaining our commitment to live theater, The Process Studio Theatre has widened its horizons by immersing itself in the richness of Independent Film Production. We believe that the accessibility of emerging technologies provides today’s independent film maker with a more even playing field to create. The tools available to an individual filmmaker now allows him to utilize talent, skill and artistry in a formidable display: an arena not previously accessible to those outside of the “Hollywood” establishment. The Process Studio Theatre has a long and proud record of nurturing artists of talent and now we have some independent features for you to enjoy. We hope you have new artists and projects to share with us. The movies have been making rather a lot of splashes at the various film festivals in which they have been welcomed.
PST's current artist-in-residence is Michael Bergmann whose films we are truly proud to be presenting. (Do nominate your choice for our 2012 Artist-In-Residence.) In our commitment to exploring different avenues of showing work, we produced the theatrical release of "Milk & Money," a festival favorite produced by RKO Pictures. It' had its first theatrical run on October 22 at New York's lovely Big Cinemas. Located at 239 East 59th Street, this is one of the best-equipped (and non-multiplex!) movie theaters in the city and it has recently started to work with independents. This delectable, and somewhat quirky comedy stars Calista Flockhart, ("Brothers and Sisters"), Olympia Dukakis (Academy Award winner for her supporting role in "Moonstruck"), Dina Merrill ("Butterfield 8"), Marin Hinkle ("Two And A Half Men"), Margaret Colin ("Gossip Girl"), Peter Boyle (Mel Brooks' "Young Frankenstein"), Denise Faye ("American Pie 2"), Robert Petkoff, (Broadway's "Ragtime"), Sarah Winkler ("Trifling With Fate,") and Robert Vaughn ("The Man From 'U. N. C. L. E.'"). The cast also includes 21 cows, including the late beloved Helen Holstein, which are first delivered to an apartment on Central Park West and then set free in Central Park. On October 22, the New York Times chose "Milk & Money" as its Critic's Pick after a wonderful review appearing on C8 of the New York Edition.
We invite you to watch the news coverage of shooting with cows in Manhattan:

Next, we will offer Bergmann's iambic pentametered comedy, "Trifling With Fate" in 9 minute webisodes for presentation on this site through Google's "Youtube." This film in ten episodes lends easy access to the immortal world of gods and goddesses who influence the movie's more mortal coil. It's charm, intensity, cleverness and invention will make for a compelling series starring Bridget Moynahan ("Blue Bloods") Vivienne Benesch ("American Splendor"), Robin Dorian ("A Current Affair"), Sarah WInkler ("Milk & Money"), Ryan Dunn ("Twelfth Night or What You Will"), Ed Vasallo ("The Sopranos"), and Gordon Elliot ("The Gordon Elliot Show"). Moynahan and Benesch make a lovely couple as Fame and Fortune in this unlikely comedy.
In the Spring, when you are better acquainted with this distinctly clever and gifted artist, we will release "Tied To A Chair," a feature film we produced for Bergmann, of which we are especially proud.
Join our mailing list and enjoy all we have to offer. It's fun, funny and thought-provoking.
